Grab your favorite person and join us for Mahjong 101 for Couples, a fun, interactive date-night experience designed specifically for two people to learn American Mahjong together.

No experience is necessary. In fact, that's part of the fun.

Join Jennifer Liagridonis as she takes you both from “What do all these tiles mean?” to understanding the fundamentals of American Mahjong and actually beginning to play.

You'll learn side by side, laugh through the mistakes, practice together and leave with the skills to continue playing long after date night is over.

Learn together. Play together. And maybe discover which one of you is a little more competitive.

Dinner and drinks are great but this date night gives you something you can enjoy together again and again.

Mahjong is social, strategic, a little competitive and incredibly fun once you get the hang of it. After learning the basics at Grovestone, take your new skills home, pour a glass of wine, put on some music and play together.

About the Class

This beginner-friendly class provides live instruction, guided hands-on play and all Mahjong equipment needed during the lesson.

American Mahjong is played with four players, so couples will be paired with another couple during portions of guided game play.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy wine, cocktails, mocktails, coffee and Grovestone's complimentary gourmet tastings before class begins.

Must be 21 years of age.

Cancellation Policy

There are no refunds or credits. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another couple at no additional charge. Please email store1001@grovestone.com with the new attendees' names, phone numbers and email addresses before the class begins.
